Usage strategy

I was wondering:

When driving, using a K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) strategy, I could

1) simply plug the 12v charging cable into the ArkPak and into the 12v cigarette lighter socket at the back of the van and ... the 85Ah will keep the fridge running and be charged by the car's alternator as long as the motor is running/key is turned.

OR

2) plug the 12v charging cable into the ArkPak and into the 12v cigarette lighter socket at the back of the van and, BUT unplug the fridge from the ArkPak and run a cable from the fridge to the cigarette lighter socket at the front of the van, so that the ArkPak has no device draining power while it's being charged.

Would this make a difference as to how much the ArkPak gets charged, would it charge higher quicker if no devices were attached? Or ... would the alternator simply split the charging between the two plugs, effectively keeping the fridge going but reducing the charge to the ArkPak?

Hi Musicofnote

great questions to ask both ways will work with no problem in terms of getting more charge to the Ark pak option 2 will do this better then option 1.
